OSHA Associate (Occupational Safety and Health)

Location: Tampa, Florida, United States; occasional nationwide travel, including overnight stays, to client sites.

What you will do

• Represent employers during OSHA inspections and workplace fatality investigations.
• Negotiate and resolve OSHA citations and litigate contested cases before the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission, state-plan agencies, and appellate courts.
• Defend OSHA whistleblower complaints and counsel clients on safety and health compliance, auditing, and inspection preparedness.
• Provide regulatory advocacy for national employers and industry associations.
• Develop and deliver training for client safety teams, in-house legal staff, and operations leaders.
• Write, publish, and speak on workplace safety and health topics.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree required.
• Admission to The Florida Bar or eligibility for admission is required, with an active license in good standing throughout employment.
• Current 3L law students graduating in 2027 may be considered.
• Experience with workplace safety and health or OSHA-related matters is preferred.
• Strong analytical, writing, organizational, prioritization, and client-service skills, with a demonstrated interest in workplace safety and health law.
