Sr Mechanical Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Lead complex mechanical engineering projects from design through development and production.
• Provide expert guidance on mechanical system design and performance.
• Perform high-level analyses and simulations to optimize mechanical systems.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to multidisciplinary teams.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, reports, design specifications, and project updates.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver projects successfully.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field; a higher relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• At least 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering or a related role.
• Expert knowledge of mechanical design principles, CAD software, and computer-aided engineering tools.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary design and development teams.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required.
• U.S. citizenship is required for security clearance eligibility.

Nice to have

• Master’s or PhD in a related field.
• Experience with GD&T according to ASME Y14.5.
• Experience with FEA, CFD, and thermal analysis.
• Experience in the aerospace and defense industry, manufacturing, production, and product support.
• Knowledge of FAA, NASA, or DoD design and construction regulations.
