TL;DR
Staff Engineer, Industrial (Aerospace) (Sustainment Analytics): Building fleet-readiness, availability, lifecycle-cost, repair-capability, and spares models for fielded aircraft systems with an accent on maintenance demand, supply-chain data, repair throughput, and operational readiness. Focus on designing repair-versus-replace trade studies, forecasting sustainment demand, evaluating manpower and support-equipment investments, and translating complex analyses into leadership decisions.

Location: Dallas, Texas, United States; on-site

Company

hirify.global develops aircraft and other complex hardware systems supported by data-driven sustainment and fleet-readiness capabilities.

What you will do

  • Lead sustainment decision analysis for fielded aircraft systems, including maintenance-level, repair-versus-replace, repair-location, spares, manpower, and support-equipment assessments.
  • Build integrated fleet-readiness and availability models connecting reliability, maintainability, repair turnaround, inventory, labor, utilization, capacity, and cost.
  • Analyze maintenance, failure, repair, logistics, workforce, supply-chain, and fleet-operations data to identify downtime drivers, bottlenecks, readiness risks, and sustainment opportunities.
  • Develop demand forecasts, spares recommendations, provisioning strategies, lifecycle-cost models, and economic trade studies.
  • Evaluate repair capability, tooling, facilities, test equipment, and support-equipment investments by quantifying capacity, risk, readiness impact, and lifecycle value.
  • Translate analyses into decision packages, executive briefings, recommendations, action plans, and repeatable analytics processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Operations Research, Data Analytics, or a related technical discipline; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
  • At least 5 years of experience in industrial engineering, sustainment, logistics, supportability, maintenance, operations research, fleet operations, aviation sustainment, defense logistics, or complex hardware-support environments.
  • Experience using maintenance, reliability, repair, inventory, supply-chain, production, fleet-operations, or fielded-hardware data to create quantitative analyses and recommendations.
  • Experience with repair-versus-replace, make-versus-buy, repair-capability, or comparable sustainment trade studies, including structured modeling, sensitivity analysis, assumptions, uncertainty, and risk.
  • Proficiency with SQL, Python, Power BI, Tableau, Excel, R, MATLAB, or comparable data-analysis, modeling, visualization, and reporting tools.
  • Ability to collaborate across engineering, fleet support, supply chain, manufacturing, finance, operations, and analytics teams and communicate decision-ready recommendations.

Nice to have

  • Experience with aviation, defense, aerospace manufacturing, unmanned systems, aircraft sustainment, or deployed hardware.
  • Familiarity with RCCA, FRACAS, PQDR, AS9100, service bulletins, maintenance releases, supply-chain management, or workforce management.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Foundry, data-quality and traceability improvement, dashboards, recurring reports, or multi-system operational data integration.
  • Experience supporting military, government, international, or deployed aviation customers.
  • Familiarity with ITAR, export-controlled technical data, controlled customer environments, or an active Secret or Top Secret clearance.

Culture & Benefits

  • Cross-functional work with engineering, fleet support, supply chain, manufacturing, finance, operations, and analytics stakeholders.
  • Focus on improving fleet availability, customer support, affordability, repair throughput, and long-term system performance.
  • On-site work in Dallas, Texas.
