Operations Management MDP Test Manager II 2nd Shift (Manufacturing)

Location: Austin, TX, United States; second shift; travel up to 10%.

Salary: $68,000–$93,500 per year.

What you will do

• Supervise employees performing assembly, inspection, testing, and final-test operations for capital equipment and related components.
• Prioritize production schedules based on staffing, equipment efficiency, capacity, and material requirements.
• Track organizational performance metrics, lead milestone meetings, and improve cycle time and operational results.
• Resolve operations issues affecting customer satisfaction and coordinate with customers, vendors, and suppliers.
• Analyze quality costs, implement corrective actions, and improve manufacturing and department capabilities.
• Develop employees through training, coaching, performance management, hiring, rewards, and discipline processes.

Requirements

• Understanding of procedures and concepts within the operations job family and basic knowledge of related functions.
• Formal supervisory experience, including setting priorities and coaching employees to meet daily deadlines.
• Ability to solve day-to-day technical and operational problems using sound judgment.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, reach, lift, work in tight or noisy spaces, distinguish colors, and use hand and power tools.
• Ability to work in a clean room while wearing required personal protective equipment.

• Experience with Lean manufacturing, safety, quality improvement, capacity optimization, or production metrics.
