Engineer Technician II - Nights (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Austin, TX, with the manufacturing site in Burnet, TX. Night shift follows a 3-2-2-3 schedule from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. after training and certification.

What you will do

• Start, monitor, and troubleshoot purification systems under defined quality and engineering controls.
• Decontaminate manufacturing equipment and perform lab maintenance, preventive maintenance, cleanup, waste disposal, and supply ordering.
• Pull chemistry samples, submit them for laboratory analysis, fill canisters, package finished goods, and inspect products.
• Ensure on-time delivery of low-volume products from manufacturing through shipping.
• Work with engineers on experiments, system troubleshooting, preventive maintenance updates, and spare-parts management.
• Propose and implement improvements to productivity, cost efficiency, safety, and operating processes.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a technical field such as chemical, semiconductor, aerospace, or automotive manufacturing.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of sublimation, decontamination, valve building, harvesting, filling, and morph solids.
• Previous chemical-handling experience, troubleshooting ability, communication skills, and discipline in following work instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 45000 standards.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lb and push up to 130 lb, respond to changing situations, and perform multiple tasks.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in chemistry, process operations, or another technical field.
• Previous manufacturing experience.
• Inventory-management knowledge and SAP experience.
