Credentialing Specialist (Healthcare)

Location: Remote in the United States; travel flexibility as needed

What you will do

• Manage credentialing and re-credentialing for physicians and allied health professionals.
• Complete, submit, and track applications with managed care organizations and hospitals.
• Apply and validate hospital privileges and obtain malpractice insurance documentation.
• Maintain provider files, credentialing databases, and quarterly CAQH applications.
• Track clinical licenses and continuing education credits, notify providers of deficiencies, and submit audit documentation.
• Coordinate provider additions and terminations with managed care organizations, hospitals, and EMR systems.

Requirements

• High school diploma and 2+ years of related experience.
• Experience leading credentialing activities in a large provider practice or across multiple practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and web-based applications.
• Strong organizational, research, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
