Patient Services Specialist (Healthcare)

Location: Remote within the United States; Atlanta Office

Salary: $50,000–$60,000 per year

What you will do

• Perform quality assurance checks and identify patterns or discrepancies in patient cases.
• Manage high-volume patient updates, case communications, records, logs, and payment-status information across multiple systems.
• Communicate with law firms, clinics, third-party companies, attorneys, and case managers by phone and email.
• Own market-specific operational metrics, including calls, emails, quality assurance, sends, and case updates.
• Lead and coordinate offshore teams while developing strong relationships with internal cross-functional teams and market leads.
• Own projects involving process development, planning, time management, and adapting to changing requirements.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of HIPAA, medical insurance regulations, and related terminology.
• Previous experience with electronic health or medical record systems.
• Previous experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Ability to manage high-volume patient updates in a fast-paced, multi-system environment.
• Ability to maintain accurate and complete medical records, files, and logs.
• Comfort using AI responsibly around patient data and applying human judgment in a regulated environment.
