Chemical Operator, alternating days/nights, 12 hour shift/7 day off rotation

Location: Riegelwood, North Carolina, United States. Full-time onsite role with a 24/7 rotating schedule, alternating day and night 12-hour shifts with a 7-day-off rotation.

What you will do

• Operate pumps, valves, forklifts, and other equipment safely throughout the production process.
• Transfer raw materials from storage containers to reaction vessels and maintain accurate material records.
• Follow written batch-production instructions and record temperatures, pressures, weights, lot numbers, and deviations.
• Sample in-process reactions and package finished goods for shipment.
• Perform minor routine maintenance and develop working knowledge of distillation, washes, extractions, and filtrations.
• Collaborate with coworkers and supervisors on process and safety improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, an Associate of Science with chemistry experience, or 2+ years of experience as a chemical operator.
• Ability to work a 24/7 rotating shift schedule onsite in Riegelwood, North Carolina.
• Ability to wear a full-face respirator; facial hair is not permitted while using the respirator.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and stand, walk, climb, and perform physically demanding duties.
• Valid driver's license and proficiency with basic algebra, computers, Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and internet tools.
• Ability to multitask, learn new tasks, accept feedback, work in a team, and take accountability for assigned work.
