What you will do

• Control chemical processes and operate related equipment using a distributed control system.
• Adjust process controls, complete system setup procedures, and maintain required operating conditions.
• Monitor and troubleshoot processes and conduct in-process quality control testing.
• Perform minor maintenance and keep the work area safe and clean.
• Move and package materials, and assist with product or raw-material loading and unloading as required.
• Participate in safety meetings, complete safety training, and support the Responsible Care Management System.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2–3 years of chemical operation experience.
• Manual dexterity, accuracy, attention to detail, and general mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to interpret complex operating instructions and use basic shop mathematics to read blueprints.
• Ability to work changing assignments and off-shift hours, lift heavy containers, and use material-handling equipment.
• Ability to remain calm in critical situations and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
