TL;DR
Product Manager - Intraoperative Neuromonitoring (Medical Devices): Managing the lifecycle and commercialization of intraoperative neuromonitoring systems with an accent on market research, clinical customer needs, and cross-functional medical device development. Focus on translating surgeon and patient requirements into product strategy, leading launch and training programs, and supporting product adoption across neurosurgery, imaging, navigation, and robotics markets.

Location: Audubon, Pennsylvania, United States; onsite role with approximately 15–20% travel, including cadaver labs, physician training events, and surgical procedures.

What you will do

  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer needs assessments for intraoperative neuromonitoring and related surgical technology markets.
  • Gather feedback from surgeons, healthcare providers, key opinion leaders, and clinical stakeholders to define product requirements.
  • Lead product strategy, positioning, value propositions, business cases, and commercialization plans.
  • Partner with R&D, Clinical, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain throughout product development.
  • Create launch materials, marketing collateral, sales tools, and training programs for internal teams, distributors, and customers.
  • Manage forecasting, inventory planning, post-launch performance, customer adoption, and lifecycle enhancement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–6 years of experience in product management, product development, product marketing, or related commercial roles in the medical device industry.
  • Experience supporting new product development or commercialization and working directly with physicians, surgeons, healthcare providers, KOLs, or clinical customers.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, organizational, communication, presentation, and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 15–20% and attend cadaver labs, physician training events, and surgical procedures.
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role, including lifting and moving equipment.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree or MBA.
  • Experience in neurosurgery, spine, surgical technologies, navigation systems, robotics, imaging technologies, or capital medical equipment.
  • Experience launching medical devices from development through commercialization.
  • Familiarity with FDA-regulated medical device environments and product lifecycle management.
  • Knowledge of operating room workflows, surgeon engagement, training programs, sales enablement, or marketing campaigns.
