Technical Support Engineer (Swing Shift) (Cybersecurity)

Location: Salt Lake City, Utah, USA; hybrid with on-site work typically 2–3 days per week. Candidates should live within about 50 miles of the office. Core shift: 4PM–12AM Mountain Time.

Salary: $72,900–$95,700 USD base salary per year, plus bonus plans and benefits.

What you will do

• Provide responsive technical support and help customers use the hirify.global product suite effectively.
• Investigate customer issues, analyze root causes, and collaborate with engineering on resolutions.
• Test new releases and create clear, reproducible defect reports.
• Share customer feedback with product teams to inform future features and improvements.
• Create documentation, guides, tutorials, and walkthroughs for customers.
• Work the swing shift and participate in the 24×7 remote support rota when required.

Requirements

• Ability to work on-site in Salt Lake City 2–3 days per week and live within approximately 50 miles of the office.
• Strong Linux skills, especially Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and experience with Windows and macOS.
• Familiarity with relational databases such as Oracle and PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Kubernetes, and container platforms.
• Scripting experience for automation and troubleshooting.
• Solid networking knowledge covering DNS, NTP, HTTPS, SSL certificates, TCP/IP, Ethernet, routing, switching, proxies, firewalls, and Syslog.
• Must have the right to work in the applied location; certain positions may require U.S. Person status under export-control regulations.

Nice to have

• Active TS clearance or willingness to obtain one.
• Graduate-level qualification in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Understanding of cyber threat landscapes and defensive technologies.
• Customer-facing experience in support, consulting, or engineering.
• AI experience or interest in AI-assisted tools.
