Trade Support Engineer

What you will do

• Keep trading systems healthy and available by identifying and resolving potential issues.
• Respond to requests from traders and engineers with urgency while considering the broader operational context.
• Support the onboarding of new trading desks and systems.
• Work with trading, infrastructure, and software development teams to resolve technical issues.
• Develop a deep understanding of the trading environment and suggest operational improvements.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in trade support, systems administration, site reliability engineering, or a related technical role; internships and projects count.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM field.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP, with the ability to use common troubleshooting tools.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for basic automation.
• Experience with Linux or Unix environments and basic command-line skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical problems under time pressure and communicate clearly in writing and verbally.

Nice to have

• Exposure to containerized applications such as Docker or Kubernetes.
