Director of Product Management (AI, Public Sector)

What you will do

• Own the product vision and roadmap for three public-sector areas: customs and border management, defense resilience and acquisition, and economic security and policy.
• Build AI- and ML-enabled tools for customs authorities, including automated validation for duty evasion, misdeclared origin, and undervaluation.
• Define economic-security capabilities for mapping supply-chain dependencies, modeling tariff and export-control impacts, and coordinating with allied governments.
• Develop a Policy Workbench that enables analysts and policymakers to produce evidence-based conclusions from supply-chain data.
• Create tools and workflows for continuous compliance, compliant component marketplaces, and deep-tier visibility across defense supply chains.
• Lead collaboration with engineering, design, data science, government affairs, enterprise product teams, and government customers.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in customs enforcement, border-security technology, trade compliance, or trade facilitation.
• 7+ years of product-management experience across complex enterprise or government systems.
• Direct understanding of customs-agency operations, trusted-trader or pre-clearance programs, targeting systems, risk scoring, and enforcement workflows.
• Working knowledge of trade data structures, including entry summaries, manifests, advance ship notices, HS/HTS classification, and country-of-origin determinations.
• Experience with API integrations, data-pipeline architecture, or enterprise-system implementation.
• Ability to design products for multiple authorities with different legal regimes, data-sovereignty requirements, languages, and levels of digital maturity.

Nice to have

• Eligibility for or an existing U.S. security clearance, or a successful Customs and Border Protection/DHS background investigation.
• Experience with revenue protection, forced-labor enforcement, counternarcotics, trade-based money laundering, or trade diversion.
• Experience delivering products across multiple countries or agencies, including emerging-market contexts.
