Director of Product (AI)

What you will do

• Own the product vision and roadmap across payroll, PEO/EOR, benefits, and payments.
• Define the interaction model for EMMA, the AI coworker that executes end-to-end operations.
• Prototype, test, critique, and ship AI-native product experiences at high speed.
• Lead, hire, and develop a unified product and design team.
• Run customer discovery with startups, enterprise HR leaders, and finance leaders, turning insights into shipped products.
• Partner with engineering on prioritization, quality, and correctness across tax, compliance, and money movement.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product management experience, including 2+ years leading teams.
• Experience shipping complex B2B or fintech products at scale.
• Strong product and design judgment, including the ability to pressure-test PRDs and provide substantive design critique.
• Experience building or prototyping with modern AI tools and understanding trustworthy agentic and LLM-powered products.
• Comfort operating with ambiguity, owning outcomes, and communicating with founders, customers, and investors.
• Track record of hiring and developing high-performing product and design talent.

Nice to have

• Experience in payroll, HR technology, fintech, payments, or another regulated and correctness-critical domain.
• Founding product or design experience at an early-stage company.
• Global product experience involving localization, multi-country compliance, or cross-border payments.
• Experience serving both enterprise and SMB audiences.
