What you will do

• Design, develop, and optimize automated liquid-handling and sample-management methods.
• Troubleshoot complex technical, workflow, and equipment challenges.
• Translate scientific requirements into efficient, robust, and scalable automated processes.
• Drive continuous-improvement initiatives that enhance quality, efficiency, and throughput.
• Collaborate with scientists, engineers, IT specialists, and external vendors to deliver automation solutions.
• Mentor and train colleagues while contributing to technology and equipment planning.

Requirements

• Significant laboratory experience in sample management, laboratory automation, drug discovery, or a related scientific environment.
• Experience developing, optimizing, and troubleshooting laboratory methods, protocols, or workflows.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to share knowledge and mentor colleagues.
• A scientific qualification or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience with platforms such as Labcyte Echo, HighRes, Beckman, Janus, Tecan Fluent, STP Mosquito, SmartCell, or Hamilton Tube Store is advantageous.
