Senior DevOps Engineer

Location: Hybrid work in the Arlington, Virginia office

Salary: $128,000–$190,000 USD annualized

What you will do

• Own and optimize CI/CD pipelines for securely packaging and delivering products to customer environments.
• Harden and configure deployment environments so products are secure by default in cloud environments.
• Provision and consistently configure customer-facing environments using Terraform, Ansible, and Packer.
• Collaborate with DevOps engineers, developers, testers, product owners, and customers to meet requirements and complete deployments.
• Provide feedback on product deployability and operational architecture to support stable, maintainable systems.
• Document deployment and operational procedures while independently investigating issues and managing assigned work.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in DevOps, systems engineering, or SRE roles focused on product delivery.
• Strong Linux experience, particularly RHEL variants, systemd, networking tools including iptables and tcpdump, and shell scripting.
• Proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, and Packer for infrastructure automation and product configuration.
• Hands-on Docker experience and familiarity with Kubernetes.
• Strong Python and Bash skills for automation and integration code.
• Experience deploying, securing, and maintaining production applications with at least one cloud provider, preferably AWS or vCenter, plus GitHub Actions or GitLab Pipelines.
