Machine Operator - Softgel (Manufacturing)

Location: San Fernando, California, United States; onsite night shift

Salary: $45,000–$74,000 per year, plus potential annual performance bonus and benefits

What you will do

• Operate encapsulation equipment to produce soft gelatin capsules according to quality standards.
• Feed materials, adjust controls, monitor ribbon thickness, temperature, product weight, and capsule size.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues and complete product changeovers, tooling setups, cleaning, and reassembly.
• Handle, tray, stack, and transport raw, in-process, finished, and waste materials.
• Maintain accurate production logs, stack cards, and computer records.
• Follow safety procedures, standard operating procedures, and good manufacturing practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or five years of equivalent work experience.
• At least one year of related machine-operation experience, such as encapsulation or injection molding, or four to six months of supervised training in the role.
• Fluent English is required for reading instructions, maintaining records, and communicating issues.
• Accurate arithmetic, manual dexterity, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to use hand tools.
• Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift and push, pull, and lift containers weighing up to 500 pounds and 50 pounds, respectively.
• This role does not provide immigration sponsorship or support, including Form I-983 STEM OPT training-plan support.
