Head of Data & Analytics (AI)

Location: Hybrid, with 2–3 days per week in the London office; candidates must have the legal right to work in the UK.

Salary: £100,000–£110,000 per year, plus bonus and EV allowance.

What you will do

• Define and own the data and analytics strategy, aligning it with commercial and operational priorities.
• Build and lead a small central Data & Analytics team and guide analysts embedded across business functions.
• Own the governed reporting layer, including trusted business measures, definitions, dashboards, and self-serve analytics.
• Establish data governance and quality standards covering security, privacy, compliance, freshness, and granularity.
• Develop AI- and agent-enabled ways to query, explore, and interpret governed data.
• Present insights to senior leaders and translate data initiatives into revenue growth, operational efficiency, and improved customer experience.

Requirements

• Experience leading a data, analytics, or business intelligence function in a fast-growing or scaling organisation.
• Broad experience across data engineering, business intelligence, analytics, and modern data architecture.
• Experience building and developing high-performing teams and influencing stakeholders outside direct reporting lines.
• Experience with data mesh or domain-oriented operating models and governed data products.
• Practical experience applying AI, natural-language interfaces, agent-based experiences, or semantic layers to analytics.
• Familiarity with data lakes, Parquet, Iceberg, ETL/ELT pipelines, multiple query engines, Power BI, and AWS, Azure, or GCP.
