Technical Calibration Specialist (Biotech)

Location: Millsboro, Delaware 19966, United States; onsite field work in utility plants, cleanrooms, and sterile laboratory environments

What you will do

• Perform field calibrations for pipettes and laboratory and utility instrumentation.
• Support senior technicians with complex equipment validations and adjustments.
• Coordinate third-party calibration vendors, equipment shipments, service schedules, and certified returns.
• Maintain inventory and asset records across multiple departments to keep equipment audit-ready.
• Procure calibration consumables and gases and support daily operations.
• Work with onsite laboratory staff and external vendors to minimize equipment downtime.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; an associate or bachelor's degree in a technical field is preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and a hands-on approach to troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel for data tracking.
• Ability to learn specialized calibration management software.
• Willingness to perform onsite field work in utility plants, cleanrooms, and sterile laboratory environments.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and customer-service skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in GMP, biotech, or other highly regulated industrial equipment environments.
