MES Engineer (Manufacturing Execution Systems)

Location: 181 Random Dr, New London, North Carolina, United States. Relocation assistance is provided.

Salary: $80,000–$115,000 USD annually, plus participation in an annual bonus or role-based incentive plan.

What you will do

• Manage daily MES-related issues and coordinate technical support across manufacturing operations.
• Design and develop MES front-end applications using Ignition.
• Define, lead, and deploy software implementations across manufacturing sites and business units.
• Translate business and operational requirements into functional specifications for MES solutions.
• Support production execution, routing, work instructions, data collection, quality, traceability, testing, validation, training, and change management.
• Identify opportunities for process standardization, automation, manufacturing performance improvement, and post-deployment enhancement.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of software development experience.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or software engineering.
• Technical understanding of programming and application development.
• Experience with Python, Microsoft SQL databases, HTML, Java, and Expression languages.
• Strong written and verbal communication, project management, stakeholder communication, and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of Windows-based systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice to have

• Experience implementing software applications in production environments and providing daily software support.
• Knowledge of PLC programming, tag structures, data collection, SCADA, and MES software such as Ignition.
• Knowledge of ERP functionality, bills of materials, product configuration, production scheduling, sequencing, or Oracle Cloud Fusion ERP.
