Industrial Engineer

Location: Romeoville, Illinois, United States. Full-time, day shift, onsite operations role with up to 20–30% travel.

Annual salary: $81,225–$89,538.

What you will do

• Design and optimize detailed 2D and 3D facility layouts in AutoCAD for conveyors, shelving, robotics, and workstations.
• Design and implement automated material handling systems, including sortation, robotics, and conveyor systems.
• Manage vendors through design, proposal, RFP, procurement, and project delivery processes.
• Perform ROI analyses comparing capital investment with labor savings to support engineering and procurement decisions.
• Lead equipment and process validation, technical documentation, performance tracking, and training for site leadership.
• Coordinate between local operations leadership and remote business partners on supply chain engineering projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in MHE design, application engineering, or supply chain implementation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, familiarity with 3D modeling tools such as Demo3D or SketchUp, and SQL skills.
• Strong knowledge of distribution center operations, racking design, and automated conveyor, sortation, and robotics systems.
• Detail-oriented approach, strong time-management skills, and the ability to manage overlapping projects.
