Cleannroom Lithography Equipment & Production Engineer (Quantum Hardware): Operating and maintaining lithography and wet-processing equipment for superconducting quantum device fabrication with an accent on tool uptime, qualified recipes, production cadence, and cleanroom safety. Focus on building tool-level load plans, troubleshooting equipment drift, qualifying operators, improving cycle time, and ensuring traceable execution in the MES.

Location: Aubervilliers, France; on-site

Company

Alice & Bob develops superconducting quantum devices and has established a new cleanroom for fabrication and rapid qubit-design iteration.

What you will do

  • Own the uptime, maintenance, utilization, execution, and qualified recipes of lithography and wet-processing equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, first-level troubleshooting, supplier coordination, spare-parts management, and consumables management.
  • Translate weekly wafer-launch plans into tool-level schedules covering maintenance, qualifications, downtime, engineering time, and unattended runs.
  • Run qualified recipes on experimental and test wafers, maintain MES traceability, and escalate deviations to Process Development Engineering.
  • Write and improve SOPs, qualify and train technicians, and contribute to risk assessments for cleanroom, chemical-handling, and equipment safety.
  • Improve cycle time, batch size, load configuration, changeover, tool performance, and capacity planning while tracking operational KPIs.

Requirements

  • On-site work in Aubervilliers, France.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in a semiconductor cleanroom, pilot line, or micro/nanofabrication facility.
  • Direct experience operating and maintaining process equipment, including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and supplier coordination.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor unit processes including deposition, lithography, etching, wet processing, metrology, vacuum systems, and their maintenance.
  • Experience with MES or equivalent systems, spreadsheets, basic statistical analysis, load planning, SOP writing, and technician training.
  • Master’s or engineering degree in microelectronics, materials science, physics, or a related field, or equivalent experience; fluent English required.

Nice to have

  • Electron-beam lithography, direct-write or laser lithography, resist processing, wet chemistry, lift-off, cassette and holder management, and wet-bench safety.
  • Experience in R&D or pilot-line environments where production and development share tools.
  • Experience with superconducting materials, Josephson junctions, quantum-device fabrication, or commissioning and qualifying tools in a new facility.

Culture & Benefits

  • Join a newly created Cleanroom Operations team and help build the operating model from the beginning.
  • BSPCE plan.
  • Additional compensation for contributing to core patents defining the quantum architecture.
  • Parental benefits including crèche support or additional days off for caring for children under 12.
  • Urban Sports Club access and mental-health support through Moka.care.

Hiring process

  • 30-minute screening call with Talent Acquisition.
