Senior UI Architect (React)

What you will do

• Define and govern the enterprise UI architecture vision, roadmap, standards, coding practices, and design patterns.
• Design scalable front-end architectures for customer-facing and internal digital platforms.
• Lead technical decisions across front-end frameworks, state management, API integration, deployment, and composable architecture.
• Guide teams in implementing CI/CD, testing, observability, accessibility, security, and performance engineering practices.
• Define integration patterns with backend services, CMS, DAM, analytics, personalisation, search, and enterprise identity platforms.
• Mentor senior engineers and architects while influencing technology roadmaps, governance forums, and investment decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including significant front-end experience, and 5+ years in architecture or technical leadership.
• Experience designing enterprise-scale web platforms and digital experiences.
• Strong experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, Vue.js, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Knowledge of micro-frontends, headless CMS architectures, design systems, component libraries, domain-driven design, cloud platforms, CI/CD, REST, GraphQL, OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and enterprise SSO.
• Experience with WCAG accessibility, Core Web Vitals, automated testing, performance monitoring, observability, and secure-by-design practices.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services, banking, asset management, or another regulated industry.
• Experience with Adobe Experience Manager Headless CMS and enterprise digital transformation programmes.
• Familiarity with content platforms, personalisation engines, analytics solutions, and search technologies.
• Experience defining enterprise-wide UI standards and governance models.
