Salary: $37.00–$59.20 per hour

What you will do

• Provide professional nursing care to acutely ill patients through assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.
• Collect and analyze patient data, establish expected outcomes, and implement individualized care plans.
• Coordinate care and collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and ancillary staff.
• Direct delegated care and determine appropriate utilization of assistants involved in direct patient care.
• Document nursing interventions, patient responses, communications, and care-plan updates in the health record.
• Participate in shared governance, committee work, unit projects, and evidence-based practice.

Requirements

• BSN or ADN from an accredited program; ADN holders must commit to obtaining a BSN within three years of starting the clinical nurse role.
• Current Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license required.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and analytical skills.
• For Emergency Room assignments: ACLS and PALS/ENPC and TNCC within one year of hire.
• For Pediatric Emergency Room assignments: Pediatric Advanced Life Support and TNCC within one year of hire; Prepost PACU assignments require PALS and ACLS.

Nice to have

• Experience in the relevant clinical area.
• Trauma Nurse Specialist, Emergency Communications Registered Nurse, Certified Pediatric Nurse, or Certified Emergency Nurse credentials.
