Registered Nurse - Ortho Unit Full Time Nights

Location: 12251 S. 80th Av., Palos Heights, Illinois, United States; full-time night shift.

Salary: USD 34.50–55.20 per hour

What you will do

• Provide individualized, age-specific nursing care to orthopedic patients from admission through discharge.
• Assess, organize, document, and continuously reassess patient health data and care needs.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized plans of care and discharge plans.
• Deliver evidence-based patient and family education.
• Collaborate with patients, families, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate care.
• Present relevant patient information, make referrals, and support continuity of care.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Current Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and analytical skills.
• An Associate Degree in Nursing may be accepted with a commitment to obtain a BSN within three years of starting the clinical nurse role.
• External ADN candidates are not currently being considered for RN openings at Palos Hospital; internal ADN candidates may apply.
