TL;DR
Category Manager (Procurement) (Scent/Raw Materials): Translating procurement data, market insights, and category strategies into financial forecasts, savings validation, and sourcing recommendations for global fragrance ingredient categories with an accent on budgeting, cost modeling, and supplier economics. Focus on building financial scenarios, analyzing commodity cost drivers, standardizing procurement reporting, and automating dashboards across regions and business units.

Location: Santana de Parnaíba, São Paulo, Brazil; hybrid model with three days per week onsite

What you will do

  • Lead procurement inputs for annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning across global Scent categories and regions.
  • Develop category financial models, cost forecasts, spend outlooks, business cases, and sourcing scenarios.
  • Monitor budgets and forecasts, identifying variances, risks, opportunities, and mitigation actions.
  • Govern, validate, and report procurement savings and productivity initiatives in partnership with Finance and Category Management.
  • Build scorecards, dashboards, performance reviews, and standardized KPIs across projects, categories, regions, and business units.
  • Provide spend analysis, market intelligence, supplier economics, should-cost models, and Total Cost of Ownership assessments for synthetic raw materials and fragrance ingredients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least seven years of relevant experience in Procurement, Finance, Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain Finance, or Procurement Excellence.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, productivity programs, business-case development, and savings validation.
  • Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, category management, cost modeling, spend analysis, Total Cost of Ownership, profit-and-loss analysis, and return-on-investment analysis.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
  • Experience with enterprise systems such as SAP, Oracle, Coupa, or Ariba; strong communication skills in English are required.

Nice to have

  • Experience in fragrance, chemicals, ingredients, manufacturing, consumer goods, or a related industry.
  • Experience assessing commodity trends, supplier economics, and supplier financial exposure.
  • Experience automating financial or procurement reporting processes.
  • Spanish language skills.
