IT Audit Manager (AI/Cybersecurity)

Location: Houston, Texas, United States. Hybrid workplace model with employees expected to work at least four full days per week in an hirify.global office.

What you will do

• Assess technology and cybersecurity risks and prepare risk-based internal audit plans.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute audit and advisory engagements across investments, trading, distribution, compliance, and finance.
• Design audit testing strategies, evaluate internal controls, document weaknesses, and manage engagement delivery.
• Assess AI governance, cloud services, application and API security, data protection, third-party technology risk, and operational resilience.
• Partner with Data Analytics to develop automation, AI-enabled audit procedures, continuous monitoring, dashboards, and exception reporting.
• Review work performed by staff and contractors, prepare reports for senior management and directors, and coach junior team members.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in technology audit, consulting, or information security.
• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, engineering, finance, or a related field.
• Experience auditing enterprise and web applications, cybersecurity, privacy, application and API security, vulnerability management, infrastructure, databases, and cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of IT control frameworks including COBIT, NIST, ISO27000, OWASP, and AI governance frameworks.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, identity and access management, data protection, DevSecOps, third-party technology risk, and operational resilience.
• Excellent communication, critical-thinking, problem-solving, risk analysis, and root-cause investigation skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in asset management or securities, including investment products, portfolio management, trading operations, and finance.
• Professional designation such as CISSP, CCSP, AWS Cloud Practitioner, or CFA.
• Experience with networking, firewalls, continuous auditing, automated control testing, and continuous risk monitoring.
• Proficiency with Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, ACL, IDEA, R, or Python.
