Engineer, Mechanical Design (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Johnson City, Tennessee, United States

Salary: $70,000–$100,000 annually

What you will do

• Prepare and execute mechanical design engineering tasks for development hardware.
• Design and draft new and existing mechanical hardware.
• Perform stress and performance analysis calculations and modify heritage designs.
• Develop clean-sheet design solutions and contribute to cost analysis.
• Provide technical support and input on project processes, strategies, and execution.
• Support hands-on integration by machining parts, creating 3D-printed fixtures, and assisting with assembly.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, and/or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in design engineering, including performance and stress analysis, GD&T, and component selection.
• Experience with CAD programs, preferably SolidWorks, and engineering analysis tools.
• Hands-on experience assembling mechanical parts through machining, drilling, fastening, measuring, or 3D printing.
• Two years of relevant engineering experience preferred.
• Ability to work onsite in Johnson City, Tennessee, and access U.S. export-controlled information.
