Fixed-Wing Test Pilot

hirify.global is an air defense startup developing AI-guided interceptors for drones and cruise missiles, together with the software platform that powers them.

What you will do

• Operate fixed-wing UAVs during development tests and demonstrations.
• Execute manual piloting tasks, including non-standard and complex takeoff and landing procedures.
• Act as the Safety Pilot during avionics hardware and software testing, monitoring aircraft behavior and taking manual control when required.
• Provide the flight-controller team with detailed feedback on anomalies and unexpected aircraft behavior.
• Validate aircraft airworthiness and complete pre-flight checks.
• Prepare, maintain, repair, and adjust UAV flight-test and demonstration equipment.

Requirements

• Proven experience flying fixed-wing UAVs.
• Strong understanding of aerodynamics, center-of-gravity balancing, and basic aircraft mechanics.
• Ability to troubleshoot propulsion systems, particularly turbines.
• Familiarity with flight-control systems, tuning, and parameter testing.
• Hands-on UAV maintenance and repair skills.
• Strong safety mindset and ability to operate under test-flight conditions.

Nice to have

• Experience flying multirotor drones.
