Physical Design CAD Engineer

What you will do

• Develop the physical design and methodology for complex, high-performance processor chips.
• Collaborate with Digital, RTL, Analog, and global engineering teams to drive design convergence and integration.
• Implement multi-voltage designs through place and route, static timing analysis, and physical verification using industry-standard EDA tools.
• Integrate AI-based design flows and develop automation for productivity improvements.
• Write Shell, Python, and TCL scripts and contribute to successful design closure.
• Provide technical direction, coaching, and mentoring to junior engineers and colleagues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of progressive experience in back-end physical design and verification.
• Strong understanding of RTL-to-GDS flows and methodology, including full-chip and sub-hierarchy integration.
• Experience integrating and taping out large designs in a digital design environment.
• Strong scripting skills in Perl, TCL, and Python.
• Collaborative communication skills and the ability to work with local and global teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with multi-voltage and low-power design techniques.
• Experience with Cadence Genus and Innovus.
