Mechanical Design Engineer (SolidWorks)

Location: Caesarea, Israel; the role includes periodic on-site visits and occasional international travel.

What you will do

• Design and develop mechanical systems and equipment for Smartech process systems.
• Manage system configurations and assemblies using SolidWorks and PDM systems.
• Create detailed production drawings and act as the primary mechanical interface for manufacturing matters.
• Investigate manufacturing, assembly, and field issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Apply Design for Manufacturing and Design for Assembly principles to improve quality, cost, and manufacturability.
• Support products throughout concept development, manufacturing, testing, installation, and ongoing production, including engineering changes and supplier support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 3–5 years of hands-on mechanical design experience with industrial equipment, process machinery, or multidisciplinary systems.
• Fluent Hebrew and English, written and spoken, are required.
• SolidWorks proficiency for design and detailed drawings is mandatory.
• Experience with industrial machinery, skids, process equipment, automated systems, or manufacturing environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, prioritization, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with PDM systems.
• Background in process industries or capital equipment design.
• Experience integrating piping, pumps, sensors, motors, and control systems.
