Global Operations Specialist (Logistics)

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; office-based role

What you will do

• Coordinate end-to-end import and export freight shipments, including intermodal movements, within a regional network.
• Ensure shipments move on time, handle exceptions proactively, and provide clear communication to clients and partners.
• Coordinate daily operations with carriers, vendors, customs teams, terminals, trucking providers, and internal stakeholders.
• Resolve client issues, escalate complex cases when needed, and support a high-quality customer experience.
• Follow SOPs, manage KPIs and SLAs, control costs, and identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
• Use data and operational tools to identify patterns, improve processes, and support partner autonomy.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree or completed professional training as a forwarding agent.
• At least 2 years of experience in operations, logistics, or freight forwarding.
• Mandatory Dutch and fluent English.
• Strong time management, attention to detail, communication, teamwork, and relationship-building skills.
• Problem-solving ability, a client-service mindset, and the ability to manage a high volume of priorities.
• Compliance-first approach and willingness to adopt technology, AI, best practices, and standardization.
