Senior Software Engineer (Java/Spring)

Salary: $255,653 per year, plus annual or quarterly performance incentives.

What you will do

• Analyze business and customer requirements, identify software gaps, classify requirements, and assess solution risks.
• Design and implement Java and Spring-based software components, microservices, RESTful APIs, and web services.
• Build automation scripts and CI/CD workflows, implement telemetry, and apply security requirements.
• Create test objectives and cases, execute functional and regression testing, and track defects through resolution.
• Monitor application metrics and logs, troubleshoot performance and availability bottlenecks, and perform maintenance and re-engineering.

Requirements

• Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 2 years of relevant experience, or bachelor's degree with 5 years of progressively responsible experience.
• Experience with Java, object-oriented programming, design patterns, multithreading, exception handling, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Batch, and dependency injection.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, ORM frameworks such as Hibernate or JPA, repository-based DAO layers, Oracle PL/SQL, and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Apache Kafka, full-stack web applications, SDLC, Agile/Scrum, TDD, and systems analysis.
• Experience with Maven, Jenkins CI/CD, Git or SVN, JSON, XML, technical documentation, and automated testing.
