Senior Software Engineer (Java/Python)

Location: Hybrid role based in Newark, New Jersey, United States

Salary: $120,000–$130,000 per year, plus bonus eligibility

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, document, implement, and support software solutions across full-stack technologies.
• Write production code using Java, Python, Kafka, APIs, and relational databases.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines across different environments.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs and contribute solutions to software development projects.
• Troubleshoot production issues, participate in technical design sessions, and ensure security and engineering standards are followed.
• Estimate project scope and schedules, identify dependencies and risks, and guide junior associates.

Requirements

• 5–8+ years of experience with commercial software architectures across software and infrastructure.
• Experience with application development life cycle, Agile development, system design and architecture, and DevOps or deployment automation.
• Hands-on experience with Java, Python, Kafka, APIs, and RDBMS.
• Experience using AI and language models in the software development life cycle.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with technical teams and management.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement in Newark, New Jersey.
