Software Engineer III (Java)

Salary: $187,741–$234,000 per year, plus annual or quarterly performance incentives

What you will do

• Develop and configure scalable enterprise application components using Java and other suitable programming languages.
• Design and implement RESTful web services with Spring Boot and build interactive web interfaces with JavaScript and React.
• Translate business and technical requirements into traceability matrices, user stories, test objectives, and test cases.
• Build automation scripts and maintain CI/CD processes for development, testing, and deployment.
• Execute unit, integration, regression, and other testing; analyze defects, logs, metrics, and application performance.
• Troubleshoot availability and performance bottlenecks, perform application maintenance and re-engineering, and ensure security requirements are applied.

Requirements

• Master's degree or equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, data science, or a related area; or a bachelor's degree with 2 years of software engineering or related experience.
• Experience coding in an object-oriented language, including Java, and building scalable backend components.
• Experience with JavaScript, React, SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Spring Boot, and RESTful web services.
• Experience debugging applications, analyzing logs, using Git, and working with Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum, requirements gathering, user stories, JUnit, Selenium, and regression prevention.
• Experience deploying and hosting backend services on Microsoft Azure and GCP.
