Solutions Architect (Tokyo)

What you will do

• Design and architect scalable, secure, highly available application delivery and security solutions using F5 BIG-IP, NGINX, and F5 Distributed Cloud.
• Translate client business requirements and technical constraints into detailed solution designs, diagrams, specifications, and implementation plans.
• Support pre-sales through technical presentations, demonstrations, proposals, and customer Proofs of Concept.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, product management, and client stakeholders throughout implementation and deployment.
• Address architecture challenges involving cloud-native environments, Kubernetes, AI workloads, AI Factories, RAG implementations, and AI Gateways.
• Contribute to technical methodologies, thought leadership, product feedback, industry presentations, and mentoring of junior team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 7 years of experience designing and implementing network or application delivery solutions, preferably with strong F5 experience.
• Deep expertise in F5 BIG-IP, including LTM, GTM, APM, and AWAF; experience with NGINX and F5 Distributed Cloud is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, security principles, cloud platforms, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Python or Ansible automation and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
• Professional proficiency in both spoken and written English and Japanese is required.

Nice to have

• Experience deploying or securing AI/ML applications, including AI Factories, RAG, AI Gateways, A2A concepts, or Anthropic’s MCP.
• F5 certifications, customer deployments with F5 Distributed Cloud, and consulting or professional services experience.
• Experience with Mainstage Keynotes, industry thought leadership, and product feedback initiatives.
