Engineering Manager – Design Engineering (Data Center Infrastructure)

What you will do

• Lead day-to-day design engineering execution across multiple concurrent customer projects and product lines.
• Translate customer requirements, specifications, layouts, and design criteria into accurate, manufacturable engineering deliverables.
• Manage engineering schedules, workload allocation, design reviews, customer submittals, fabrication drawings, models, and engineering bills of material.
• Lead technical problem-solving across design, procurement, fabrication, assembly, and installation.
• Coordinate with Project Management, Sales Engineering, Structural Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, plant teams, and customers.
• Track engineering performance and lead corrective actions, process improvements, standardization, and lessons-learned activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Typically 7–10 years of progressive engineering experience in manufacturing, fabricated products, construction products, or engineered-to-order environments.
• At least 3 years of engineering leadership or people-management experience.
• Experience managing multiple complex engineering projects and leading design engineers, designers, or engineering leads.
• Strong understanding of design release, configuration control, engineering BOMs, manufacturing drawings, and change-management processes.
• Experience with 3D CAD and engineering-document-management systems, plus strong planning, communication, technical judgment, and design-for-manufacturing skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Autodesk Inventor, Vault, Revit, AutoCAD, or similar platforms.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and part-number or BOM-release processes.
• Background in data-center infrastructure, modular construction, sheet-metal fabrication, structural systems, containment, or mechanical systems.
