What you will do

• Create and maintain detailed 2D AutoCAD drawings for electrical enclosures, panels, brackets, and related components.
• Develop complete manufacturing and shop drawing packages from customer designs, engineering specifications, and bills of materials.
• Generate flat patterns and fabrication drawings for laser cutting, CNC punching, and press brake operations.
• Interpret engineering requirements and update drawings based on engineering changes, customer feedback, and production needs.
• Verify dimensional tolerances, material specifications, design standards, and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams; support prototypes, troubleshooting, design validation, and limited 3D modeling.

Requirements

• Associate degree, diploma, or technical training in drafting, mechanical engineering technology, CAD technology, or a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience creating 2D AutoCAD drawings in manufacturing, sheet metal, fabrication, construction, or industrial environments preferred.
• Strong AutoCAD proficiency, including dynamic blocks, tool palettes, drawing libraries, and efficient drafting workflows.
• Experience producing mechanical and fabrication drawings from engineering requirements and BOMs.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications, with understanding of sheet metal design, bend allowances, tolerances, and manufacturing documentation.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, collaboration, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with laser cutting, CNC punching, and press brake operations.
• Exposure to SolidWorks, Ihirify.globalor, Revit, or similar 3D CAD software.
