FPGA Engineer (GNSS)

Location: Lisbon, Portugal; hybrid working model. Includes up to 8 weeks per year of teleworking outside the usual geographical area. Relocation support is available for candidates from other countries.

What you will do

• Design and implement RTL modules and digital signal-processing algorithms for GNSS signal generation and processing on FPGA devices.
• Develop, integrate, and validate FPGA features for experimentation platforms, simulators, and receiver systems.
• Perform FPGA synthesis, implementation, resource utilization analysis, and timing closure.
• Develop verification environments, testbenches, and simulation models, and contribute to hardware-in-the-loop testing.
• Write technical documentation and perform root-cause analysis of functional, performance, and integration issues.

Requirements

• Degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a similar background.
• Knowledge of and interest in digital design, FPGA-based RTL development, and hardware solutions for high-performance systems.
• Experience with Vivado and VHDL.
• Knowledge of digital design and RTL development methodologies, FPGA simulation, synthesis, implementation, and Git.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of GNSS technologies, digital signal processing, FPGA verification, hardware integration, high-speed interfaces, embedded systems, and real-time processing.
• Experience with C/C++, Python, and Linux/UNIX.
