Manager, Data Engineering (Adobe Commerce)

Salary: $110,000–$220,000 per year

What you will do

• Translate business problems and stakeholder requirements into data-related solutions, projects, technical documentation, and implementation plans.
• Extract data from databases, perform initial data quality checks, and create efficient pipelines and transformations.
• Design and evaluate logical and physical data models for data warehouses, data marts, data lakes, and enterprise big data platforms.
• Define relational tables, keys, stored procedures, data flows, and integration solutions across systems.
• Support Adobe Commerce application configuration related to product data and connect business needs with platform capabilities.
• Build stakeholder relationships, provide recommendations, document solutions, and train end users on data modeling.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field plus 3 years of software engineering or related experience; or a master’s degree or equivalent plus 1 year of experience.
• Experience gathering business requirements through prototyping, workshops, and focus groups.
• Experience translating requirements into user stories, workflows, UML diagrams, and business requirements documents.
• Experience with SQL, data transformation strategies, data modeling, and entity relationship diagrams.
• Experience testing REST and JSON APIs, implementing test cases with Selenium, and performing load testing with JMeter.
• Work onsite in Bentonville, Arkansas.

Nice to have

• Experience with MS Project, Azure DevOps, JIRA, Confluence, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Suite.
• Experience with Scrum, SAFe, and Agile team practices.
• Experience with Google Analytics, Hotjar, and FullStory for analyzing customer behavior, site traffic, and performance.
