What you will do

• Lead cross-functional groups of 10–20 engineers, including offshore associates, across complex engineering projects.
• Define short- and long-term technical solutions, timelines, architecture patterns, and project priorities.
• Lead discovery phases, high-level design, proof-of-concept development, and prototype validation with product, operations, project management, business, and user experience teams.
• Design, develop, review, and troubleshoot cloud-native applications, services, and full-stack code.
• Direct root cause analysis for critical business and production issues and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
• Oversee delivery, technical documentation, testing, stakeholder communication, and project hand-offs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field with 6 years of progressively responsible software engineering experience, or a master’s degree with 3 years of experience.
• Experience developing public cloud-native applications with Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with microservices, event-driven architecture, REST, SOAP, GraphQL, relational and NoSQL databases, and messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, or IBM MQ.
• Experience deploying containerized applications to Azure or Google Cloud and designing secure, resilient, automated, multi-region cloud ecosystems.
• Experience with unit and component testing, configuration management, monitoring, automated CI/CD pipelines, and version control.
• Experience reviewing and troubleshooting Java, Kotlin, React, Angular, HTML5, and JavaScript code, plus knowledge of warehouse and supply chain domain concepts.
