Senior Software Engineer (Java)

Location: Onsite in Bentonville, Arkansas, United States

Salary: $90,000–$180,000 per year

What you will do

• Analyze and classify business and technical requirements, create traceability matrices, assess risks, and contribute to user stories.
• Design software components and applications using distributed systems, scalable architectures, design patterns, disaster recovery, telemetry, and non-functional requirements.
• Develop and configure code using Java, C#, Python, relevant frameworks, cloud platforms, and secure coding standards.
• Build automation scripts and CI/CD pipelines, implement telemetry, and support high-availability and high-scalability requirements.
• Design and develop APIs, trading applications, event-based architectures, trade snapshot feeds, database queries, and event streaming solutions.
• Prepare and execute component tests, perform root-cause analysis, and validate requirements through automated and API testing.

Requirements

• Senior-level software engineering experience with a master's degree and at least 1 year of relevant experience, or a bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience designing and implementing SOAP and REST APIs using Java and C#.
• Object-oriented programming experience with Java, C#, and Python.
• Experience with Jenkins, Maven, Kubernetes, Spring, Spring Boot, Apache Tomcat, JBoss, and Apache Kafka.
• Experience with Oracle PL/SQL, MySQL, JDBC drivers, Azure Cosmos, scalable queries, and event-based systems.
• Experience with JUnit, TestNG, SoapUI, Postman, JSON, XML, Jira, Git, and SVN.
