TL;DR
Account Manager (Manufacturing): Managing and growing an established customer portfolio across Northern Tasmania with an accent on relationship building, account planning, and steel and aluminium product solutions. Focus on strengthening customer partnerships, identifying growth opportunities, coordinating internal teams, and delivering customer outcomes across a geographically diverse territory.
Location: Launceston, Tasmania, Australia; customer travel throughout Tasmania, approximately three days per week on the road.

What you will do
- Manage and grow an established portfolio of customer accounts across Northern Tasmania.
- Build trusted relationships through regular face-to-face customer engagement.
- Identify opportunities to increase value and strengthen long-term partnerships.
- Provide product, service, and market insights while developing account plans and call activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver customer outcomes and maintain accurate account documentation.
- Travel throughout Tasmania and contribute to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Experience in account management, territory management, business development, or the metals trade.
- Strong relationship-building, stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organisation, and time-management skills.
- Confidence working autonomously across a geographically diverse territory.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Commitment to personal safety and the safety of others.
Nice to have
- Experience with SAP, Salesforce, or a similar CRM system.
- Experience in manufacturing, steel, building products, construction, or industrial industries.
