Systems Engineer/Systems Modelling Engineer (ASIC)

What you will do

• Define ASIC system requirements from product specifications and translate them into block-level and circuit-level specifications.
• Analyze NoC, cache, memory-controller, and coherency-fabric microarchitecture trade-offs to optimize performance, power, area, and fidelity.
• Develop executable models, simulations, and analytical workflows that inform SoC/IP system behavior and reduce project risk.
• Collaborate with product management, architecture, and SoC design teams on product definition, PPA targets, and roadmap decisions.
• Improve design documentation and engineering methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering.
• Experience converting document-based architectures into model-based architectures.
• Strong understanding of CPU/GPU microarchitecture, memory hierarchy, and SoC interconnects.
• Familiarity with analytical and simulation tools such as MATLAB and Simulink.
• Programming experience in Python, Java, or JavaScript for model automation and analysis, plus the ability to communicate architectural features and trade-offs clearly.

Nice to have

• Experience with model-driven design using Simulink and autogenerated code.
• Familiarity with firmware, compilers, design verification, and RTL design concepts.
• Experience modeling, simulating, and optimizing performance, power, and area.
• Experience with post-silicon performance correlation, root-cause analysis, and improving pre-silicon model fidelity.
