Trading Systems Reliability Engineer (Electronic Trading)

Quantitative trading firm developing high-performance electronic trading infrastructure and supporting independent systematic trading teams.

What you will do

• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for in-house trading applications and own complex production incidents.
• Track recurring support issues and build automated workflows and custom tooling to replace manual operations.
• Modernize monitoring, alerting, and reporting systems for scheduled jobs and platform health visibility.
• Partner with traders, trade monitors, and core developers to address operational needs during market hours.
• Manage automated deployments and configuration updates while participating in an on-call rotation with occasional weekend support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, systems engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in production engineering or high-availability support.
• Strong Python and Bash scripting skills for building scalable automated workflows.
• Knowledge of Linux fundamentals, SQL query optimization, configuration management, Git, and deployment pipelines.
• Experience debugging complex distributed-system outages beyond standard L1/L2 procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with engineering teams and trading desks.

• Experience with financial domain concepts, electronic trading, order management systems, or market data protocols.
