Key Control Tester (Banking)

What you will do

• Perform end-to-end key controls testing for First Line Management across ING's global operations.
• Assess the design and operating effectiveness of controls across financial, operational, regulatory, and compliance processes.
• Conduct process walkthroughs, execute testing, document results, and evaluate control effectiveness.
• Identify risks and recommend improvements to strengthen the risk management and control framework.
• Collaborate with testers, service delivery leads, control owners, and stakeholders from different countries.

Requirements

• Experience performing end-to-end key controls testing, including walkthroughs, execution, documentation, and evaluation.
• Strong understanding of risk and controls concepts.
• Experience in internal audit, external audit, controls testing, risk management, or a related discipline.
• Ability to navigate a complex organization independently and engage with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage ambiguity in a dynamic environment.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.

Nice to have

• Experience with banking processes, SOx, regulatory reporting, KYC, FATCA, or financial controls.
• Knowledge of Power BI or Power Automate.
• CIA or CPA certification.
