Senior Consultant, Product Engineer (AI)

Location: London, United Kingdom; current United Kingdom residency and authorization to work for any employer are required. The role requires working in an office environment.

What you will do

• Build production-grade React and TypeScript applications for legal AI search and retrieval.
• Design search interfaces, AI answer experiences, document previews, citation views, agent workflows, dashboards, feedback tools, and embedded components.
• Translate complex retrieval capabilities into clear, explainable, and trusted experiences for lawyers.
• Collaborate with AI engineers, retrieval architects, Azure engineers, legal knowledge experts, and client stakeholders.
• Integrate user interfaces with APIs, authentication, permissions, search services, AI responses, document metadata, and workflow actions.
• Shape product requirements and workflows from prototype through production.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with React and TypeScript.
• Experience building component-based applications, working with APIs, managing complex state, and delivering polished enterprise interfaces.
• Knowledge of authentication, role-based permissions, asynchronous data, accessibility, testing, source control, and CI/CD.
• Interest in AI product design and understanding of retrieval, citations, agents, and retrieval-augmented generation systems.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in consulting or a related field.
• Must be a current resident of the United Kingdom and authorized to work in the United Kingdom for any employer; identity verification and security checks are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Next.js, React Query, Zustand, Redux, Tailwind, Fluent UI, Material UI, Vite, Storybook, Playwright, Jest, Azure services, or Microsoft Graph.
• Experience with legal technology, enterprise search, document management, knowledge management, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, iManage, NetDocuments, or workflow platforms.
• Certified Management Consultant certification or equivalent.
