Trading Data Platform Lead (Fintech)

Location: Limassol, Cyprus; hybrid model after 2 months with 3 days from the office and 2 days from home

What you will do

• Lead the development, maintenance, and reliability of a near-real-time data platform ingesting data from trading servers, bridges, and liquidity-provider feeds.
• Manage data transformation, storage, and serving through ClickHouse and Snowflake.
• Build reconciliation processes to compare source systems, identify variances, and escalate material discrepancies.
• Develop monitoring, data-quality controls, schema-change governance, alerting, and operational procedures for production components.
• Establish engineering standards covering version control, CI/CD, testing, code review, documentation, and reusable data solutions.
• Collaborate with quantitative, technology, and analytical teams while maintaining documentation, knowledge transfer, and cross-training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent production-data experience.
• Several years of experience owning a production trading data platform at a broker, trading firm, market maker, exchange-related business, or trading-technology vendor.
• Deep hands-on ClickHouse experience, including MergeTree, deduplication, FINAL semantics, partitioning, TTL, materialized views, and performance tuning for high-cardinality tick and trade data.
• Production Snowflake experience and expertise with Airflow or Dagster, Kafka, change-data capture, dbt or equivalent transformations, and CI/CD for data.
• Strong Python and advanced SQL skills, with fluency in trading data such as positions, netting, hedging, swaps, commissions, MT4/MT5 structures, bridge and liquidity-provider logs, and FIX drop copies.
• Clear written communication skills for runbooks, data contracts, incident write-ups, and operational documentation.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial markets or comparable environments.
• Experience with complex transactional or financial-market datasets and analytical systems.
• Systems-language experience with Go, Rust, or C++.
• Experience strengthening fragile, complex, or single-operator data environments.
