Senior Software Engineer (Teamwork Graph)

What you will do

• Build the API foundation and externalization products for Teamwork Graph across MCP, CLI, and direct APIs.
• Design and operate reliable backend services, developer tools, and APIs for customer applications and AI agent workflows.
• Own technical projects from problem definition and design through implementation, launch, monitoring, and ongoing operation.
• Create clear API contracts, error handling, documentation, and examples that support straightforward integration and adoption.
• Use customer feedback, experiments, evaluations, and production metrics to improve product quality and understand usage.
• Mentor engineers and improve engineering practices, tooling, documentation, and shared infrastructure.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building backend applications and services.
• Production experience with Kotlin, Java, or TypeScript, with willingness to work across Kotlin and TypeScript.
• Experience designing APIs and distributed systems, including databases, cloud infrastructure, and service performance.
• Experience owning complex customer-facing or developer-facing features through production delivery, testing, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Experience working with Product and Design, making technical tradeoffs, communicating decisions, and mentoring engineers.
• Experience with developer platforms, public APIs, SDKs, CLIs, third-party integrations, GraphQL, API gateways, or multi-tenant SaaS.

Nice to have

• Experience with MCP, AI agents, tool use, enterprise context, or retrieval applications.
• Experience with Rust for CLIs, developer tooling, or performance-sensitive components.
• Experience evaluating AI or agentic product quality through offline evaluations, experiments, and production signals.
• Experience with authentication, authorization, API compatibility, usage instrumentation, metering, usage-based pricing, or billing.
