Staff Software Engineer

Location: Remote worldwide; candidates collaborate across multiple countries and time zones

What you will do

• Own technical design and execution for major products, systems, and engineering initiatives.
• Design scalable and reliable systems across backend, frontend, APIs, databases, and infrastructure.
• Build hands-on through coding, prototyping, code reviews, debugging, and production problem-solving.
• Drive architecture decisions and trade-offs involving speed, scalability, reliability, cost, and maintainability.
• Translate ambiguous product problems into clear technical solutions and execution plans.
• Lead critical initiatives, improve engineering practices, and mentor engineers across teams.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience building and shipping production software systems.
• Deep expertise in backend, frontend, distributed systems, APIs, databases, or cloud infrastructure.
• Strong system design, architecture, coding, and technical decision-making skills.
• Experience leading major engineering projects from design through production.
• Experience scaling engineering teams, systems, or development practices through significant growth.
• Strong English communication is required for collaboration in international distributed teams.
